“Until then, data collection was carried out manually through production sheets filled in by operators,” explains Loïc Mayeresse, Production Manager at Doulux. “This method lacked the responsiveness and precision needed to detect deviations in real time.”
Following these findings, Doulux made the strategic decision to focus exclusively on energy monitoring.
The solution was deployed using electrical consumption sensors installed on key equipment, providing real-time visibility into energy usage. Building on these initial results, Doulux recently decided to expand the scope by adding compressed air sensors, after identifying several air leaks that represented potential additional savings.
“The idea was simple,” says Mayeresse. “Not to waste time developing an internal solution, but to rely on an efficient system capable of automatically collecting data and giving us a clear view of our actual consumption.”
In just three and a half months, the benefits became clear. The company was able to detect significant overconsumption — particularly in compressors — and adjust their operations to reduce these losses.
