  • I've installed my sensors, but I don't see any data in the dashboard?

If all sensors have been installed but you cannot see any data in the dashboard, the most likely cause is that the bridges are not yet online. You can check the status on the installation tab of the Sensorfact dashboard. Please consider the following to ensure the bridges will come online:

    • If a bridge should connect via a mobile network, please make sure the bridge is plugged in and all the antennas are connected. If the bridge does not come online after 20 minutes, please contact support@sensorfact.nl
    • If a bridge should connect via WiFi, please make sure all the firewall permissions have been set according to this video. If you supplied Sensorfact with the network SSID and password, the bridge will be programmed with these details. If you have not supplied Sensorfact with the WiFi details, the bridge will still need to be configured for a WiFi connection. You can find the relevant instructions in this video.
    • If a bridge should connect via ethernet, please make sure all the firewall permissions have been set according to this video.

For any questions regarding these instructions, please contact support@sensorfact.nl

  • How can I monitor the quality of my installation?

The Sensorfact Dashboard contains the ‘Installation overview’ function. This overview gives you relevant feedback during the installation process (e.g. receiving measurement data from sensors, quality of network connectivity, etc.), and provides tools to optimise setup.

You can also find here which sensors are linked to the machines.

  • A sensor or bridge is no longer working, what do I do?

The status of a bridge can be checked on the installation tab of the Sensorfact dashboard. If the status of a bridge has changed to unreachable, please disconnect it from the power source for 10 seconds and plug it back in. In most cases the bridge will come back online. If the bridge does not come back online, please consider the following:

    1. If your bridge is normally connected via 4G, please contact your customer success representative.
    2. If your bridge is normally connected via WiFi, please check with your IT department if the WiFi name / password or firewall settings have changed. If changes have been made, and you’re unsure how to reconfigure your bridge, please contact your customer success representative.
    3. If your bridge is normally connected via ethernet, please check with your IT department if the firewall settings have changed. If changes have been made, the bridge might require new permissions to transmit the data through the network. If you have any problems, please contact your customer success representative.

If a sensor is no longer showing data in the dashboard, please consider the following:

    1. Does the sensor still have an active connection to the bridge? You can check this on the installation tab of the Sensorfact Dashboard. If the sensor does not have a connection to a bridge. Please check if the bridge is still online.
    2. Is the machine to which the sensor is connected online? If the machine is not online the sensor will usually transmit a 0 value.

For further enquiries, please contact your customer success representative at support@sensorfact.nl

  • Can I change the name of a sensor in the dashboard?

Yes. You can change the name of the sensor by navigating to the installation tab of the Sensorfact dashboard. Here you can view all the sensors and change the name by clicking on the pencil icon. Should you wish to make changes to to the names of the groups, or move sensors to a different group, please contact support@sensorfact.nl

  • Can I export my energy data?

Sensorfact Connect provides a recurring data export. This allows you to integrate incoming data to your own systems and processes. It provides current (A), power (W) or energy (kWh) data per sensor for time intervals of your choice.

These files can be exported i) hourly ii) daily iii) weekly or iv) monthly. The export destinations supported are FTP/SFTP servers, AWS S3 buckets and Azure Blob Storage. For more information please send an email to support@sensorfact.nl.

Sensorfact Connect is an additional service and is available at €50,- per month. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us.
